I think in that essay to you're also talking a lot about, like, lush writing, like big descriptions. I'm struggling to think about because i feel that nothing ever disappears. And for example, i think hana yanagahara has been writing these big books that have a sort of epic quality to them. My aunt used to say, nothing is ever gained or lost in the universe. Just when you think the effort to write epic novels has disappeared, somebody comes alive and does it all over again.
