The way that therma manikins work is less like a human and more like a human shape heating plate. What we did is we tested in the context of, ok, let's simulate solar radiation by shining a couple of bright flood lights on thermo manikin. And then what happens is that it requires a certain amount of electricity to keep that surface temperature at 34 degrees celsius. Let's say that you put something on the thermal manikin that keeps it warm. Well, it will require less electricity, less energy, to keep that temperature. That's how you then are able to deduce what the effect is of whatever it is that you're measuring on the thermal
