Proclamation of Liberty to the Captives
I love to read Isaiah 61 and 62 as a motif of a wedding, but also of the temple itself. And then we have these symbols of an exchange, the cosmic king exchanges tokens of our fallen brokenness with perfection. I love that exchange, the great exchange of giving our brokenness and then he comes and he fixes it. In course of doing this, he releases us from captivity.
