Dressing Up Is a Form of Creative Expression, but It Can Also Help You Make a Statement
i think there's so much of a culture of adornment that is part of a black and enicity about looking good. A lot of that, too, stims from poverty or the inability to obtain respect because of white supremacy. The dressing up in the adornment is a way to sort of claim not just your identity and expression, but your ability to be able to be seen and respected. And we should clarify that the zotsu from what tel did, kind of move from black community into the latino community.
