The Importance of the Imago Day

I'm thinking about the possibility that it's a way of retaining dignity even amidst a world of sin. On the fallen side of the equation, the extent to which an image can be a fallen thing is not entirely wiped away. If we think of foreigners in terms of relational alienation, there are ways that that could be brought into conversation with psychology. And what does it mean for example for human beings to be alienated from one another in relationship or for relationships to fail? Is the reason to think that those sorts of things bear upon this broader theological canvas where we talk about our alienation from the one who's created us?
