The Azure Battalion and the Imperial Warstaves
The first thing you see are the Imperial Warstaves. These stabs are all bound on either end with brass studs into a leather sort of harness or sash that allows you to shoulder these staves. You can hit it with the pointy end, but it helps you cast magic more effectively. And because these have seen some use, you see where the slang term matchstick comes from - one of the banded ends is covered in soot. They're basically for firing firebolts, cantrips, things of that nature. But they're good at hitting stuff. We love Karen fodder.
