Introduction

The baptism of Jesus at the Jordan River is covered by all four gospel writers. The three synoptic writers are Matthew Mark and Luke. We haven't really introduced Mark yet, so this is a great place to bring up his gospel. When you're reading Mark's gospel, it's almost as if you're getting a second-hand scribal account of the life of Jesus through the lens of Peter.
