GI Bleeding
Naveen Walker: Let's imagine you're an intern who gets paged about an admission from the emergency department. You call back and the ED resident says, I have a 63-year-old male down here with hypertension, diabetes, coronary artery disease. He's presenting with a couple days of melanin and he denies any history of known prior GI bleed. Naveen: As the student or intern helping to admit this patient we would certainly want you to be familiar with how the gastroenterologist thinks through GI bleeding. So that you can be prepared when you call a consult if needed.
