According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics Brandon there were 1.7 job openings for every person when this book went to print. And remember that the unemployment rate does not count people who aren't looking for work and something like 10% of males age 25 to 54 have effectively stopped looking for work right there day trading. Now could generative AI and automation alleviate that concern 100% but it's interesting to me as I did the research there's this thing called solos paradox and effectively tools like the Internet or smartphones that should make us more productive in some case don't because we're wasting time.
