The goal would be that a meal would last in your body. Some are between four and six hours. You're never going to get there without optimal levels of protein because the protein is the slowest to digest. I really like people aiming for 30 grams of protein per meal, including breakfast and breakfast actually being the most important time. The ability for your body to bring your blood sugar back down under 100 milligrams per deciliter an hour within a meal is amazing.
