How to Avoid Consulting Recruitment
When firms are hiring less, they're still hiring. The only time actually in the more than 20 years that I've been doing this, that we've seen a stop in hiring was one month during COVID. Tech is pulled way, way back and so you've got different talent all of a sudden in the pool that you're competing with. But the firms are looking for the same things. You have to start there, right? I'm not applying with impossibility. They're hiring. This isn't the time to be whimsical about like maybe I'll try consulting tomorrow, right? You have to be serious and focused on it."
