Using S3 to Layer Quilt on Top of Data?
S3 is the lowest common denominator, but it can also provide a more advanced user experience on top of that data. How do you think about this balance? It boils down to the agony and ecstasy of decentralization. The same way Git has branches, we use in quilt S3 buckets like branches. You have different levels of data done this and you can merge things up to harder and harder schemas.

Data is a team sport, but it's often difficult for everyone on the team to participate. For a long time the mantra of data tools has been "by developers, for developers", which automatically excludes a large portion of the business members who play a crucial role in the success of any data project.
