Ilyse Hogue: When robots in automation do our most basic work, then we are free to ask, what are humans for? Industrialization did more than just extend the average human lifespan. It led a greater percentage of the population to decide that humans were meant to be ballerinas and mathematicians. Is it really true that most or all of us can do these glorious things, or is it just going to be a small sector? She says there's plenty of room for people in doing things that we, as humans, will find preferable over having a bot do.
