The Monroe Doctrine Isn't About Us Colonizing South America
The monroe doctrine really was about dealing with imperial powers in our back yard. The whole idea of ukraine as a separate country is an utter fiction. And to do that on russia's border was a direct threat to puton's model of government. I don't get why we should consider it a valid motivation in any way.
