The Effects of Sedatives on Delirium

Sedatives are only a treatment for the agitation that may come with it. No drug treats or prevents delirium. Hyperactive patient needs sedation, hypoactive patient doesn't need anything. Don't be tempted to give them a treatment because there is none. The more you can get them back to normal, the better.
