The Basics of a Camera
Every point on the lens is getting light from all parts of the image and therefore reflecting reflecting light back onto the image at all points on the image so you haven't blocked any single portion of the image or you've done is blocked some portion of the whole light. blocking just part of the lens doesn't block all of the information from any single point on the image it's very kind of intuitive when I first heard about this it just made no sense at all again diagrams are helpful but the key point is that every port every part of the Lens receives light or receives information fromevery part of the object that you're viewing.
