The Importance of Collaboration in Composition
Bruce Hadlam: As a composer, I write for ensembles. That's what I hear. The only time I could ever think of writing a composition that was actually recorded and performed for either a soloist or maybe a duet is just for films. And then in the movie called Soup for One, I do this thing called Tavern on the Green. It's just me playing classical guitar along with a Yamaha CS80 synthesizer with my keyboard player. Those are the only duets that I've ever really recorded. Everything else is for a bunch of a room full of people.
