Letters in Response to the Federalist Papers

This chapter explores the letters written by a politician known as the 'countryman' to counter the Federalist papers and their proposal of a strong national government during the constitutional debate. It is suggested that even 'Uncle George' may have been involved in writing letters signed as Cato.
