Joseph Smith's Experience With the Book of Abraham in 1838
RFM: I don't think there's any account of Joseph Smith in 1828 or 29 saying that they're in these four languages. It just tells you that this is being written from a later perspective and trying to do so in a way to bolster Joseph Smith's own credibility at a time when he was being heavily challenged by people within the church. And so you can kind of see Joseph Smith using his life experience to them back it into a story that is obviously crucial to the Book of Mormon and to the church today really.
