I started thinking and I started putting together some different possibilities for these two groups, how they could work together in an effective way. That then emerged into a set of patterns that ended up being called DevOps team topologies patterns. We're now just over three years on since publication and we've been really pleased with the take up. People can take them and use them inside the organization because they're quite practical but at the same time, they're not too restrictive.
