The Importance of Sustainability in an Environment Where Politics Is Divisive

The assumption often is, one, that only government can solve these problems. In an environment where politics is so divisive, it is very difficult to get that. It happens because the incentives for politicians and other folks are often not to find the best solution. The solutions we devised back in the 1970s aren't likely to make much of a dent in environmental problems we face today.
