The index treats pretty much every sector like more or less equally so for example healthcare inflation is in services but all other services are treated as of equal importance to health care. The way we pay for health care in the united states is so insane that i don't think anyone actually knows what actual health care inflation is because insurance mediates pricing there is no posted prices you can go to the same hospital uh with or without insurance and get five different prices for the same thing on the same day. Even when things are included in the price index they're not weighted by how much of the average income is going to actually have soon now. There's still a lot of economists and not just left wing ones
