How to Make Your Paddock Long and Narrow
Too many grazers are starting in the same pasture every spring and moving their livestock in the same rotation around their farm every year. So next year, start in an entirely different place for that first graze. If you typically have been making your paddocks east to west next year, orient them north and south. Alter forage height, own and off. Alter days in a paddock. Biograsing can be a disruption. Planned burns, they'll be very careful with planned burning. Too many people over burn or burn too frequently. And then finally, we can do of these disruptions by increasing significantly my start density on a particular area.
