Ignatius's Symbolism of the Church
In Ignatius' writings, he's the first to call it the Catholic church. He will describe the unity among believers and believers with the hierarchy in terms of musical imagery. It sounds very Pauline where Paul says we can't all be the leg, you can all be the hand,. You have to have different members with one body. So that's really beautiful.
