After tax contributions are a nightmare for your tax s later on. If you don't change it over to the roth that year, do not do the after tax contribution. I've been a part of that back when i was a financial planter and it was a flip and nightmare. So if you are going to use the after tax make sure you do the wroth option? But i think so.
