Camlot - A Roman Hill Fort Near Hadbury, Somerset
In the early 15 hundreds, an antiquary named john leland went searching for camelot. He theorized that these villages might be connected to some kind of royal site going back to the pre anglo saxon age. The localpeo in the area pointed to south cadbury hill fort as being a possible dark age capital. And they commonly called it camalate, something very close to camelot and that arthur resorted there often.
