A Woman With a Big Toe Processus
A woman in ancient egypt has a wooden big toe that was tied on to her foot. She's known to have been part of an illegue priestly family, it's been surmised that she wore this for religious activity. It also does ti in with some references to wooden feet in ancient greek and roman materials. So we can sort of get a sense of this is something that would have been similar to processes being used in ancient greece, ancient rome.
