Fok and Pineapples in Architecture and Design

Pineapples became a design motief in the 17 hundred, the 18 hundreds. Pineapples were really important, symbolically, to represent wealth and generosity if you couldn't afford one. Around the same timea a trend in architecture was happening known as orientalism. A building in kildare that's built in 17 forty has got pineapples on it. The potato and the pineapple are folking, exact opposites. This is what i find intriguing, thyr, exact fokin opposites.
