The hot shot crews work 16 hour shifts 14 days in a row. A few days of R&R back at the station and then they're back on another fire. I think for a mid 20s person that's just looking for adventure and a phenomenal camaraderie. You can kind of feel like a lost boys tribe. And you get to know a human better than I think just about you ever could.
