I was speaking with aliens who were from the nation of Columbia as well as Venezuela. They all talked about poverty. None specifically mentioned though, the violence that they were specifically scared because of political or religious persecution. So it's really putting a lot of onus on the illegal aliens themselves to be willing to take the steps to schedule those asylum hearings and show up.
