Nolan has come under fire for a kind of clouded political point of view. Dunkirk's a masterpiece in its own right, but I didn't go into this thinking I was going to get the education that I got. This is a film that has a lot of time for leftist ideas. And you don't usually see them communicated, say, property is theft.
