In the 1970s and 80s, it was normal for a woman to stay at home with her kids. That's not the case generally speaking today. A lot of young people find themselves almost in a state of indentured servitude. They've got 50, 60, $80,000 of student loan debt. So I know young people who are doing just fine, but they've basically defied the conventional wisdom every step of the way.
