The Telegraph and Bloomberg profile a couple who screened their last of three children via IVF for an embryo that was the least likely to be obese. They've received almost half a million dollars from an Estonian tech billionaire who funds many effective altruist organizations. This is another ideology that's popular with the silicon valley, right? The idea that you can really do all kinds of crazy things now as long as it theoretically benefits populations 1000 years down the road.
