Did Your Childhood Influence You?
I don't know of anybody who has made more out of nothing than you. I try to understand the properties of systems filled with almost nothing, right? The charged particle gases that i study have density s that are orders of magnitude smaller than the density of laboratory vacuums. So ye, there was a lot of childhood influence and going into intellectual endeavors. Oh, i'm sure that they'e the growing up in a community and a family that valued intellectual pursuits had siderable effect on me. And of course, i lived in new york city in the middle of manhamton so i was exposed to all sorts of things that a while growing up.
