How Did You Carve Out Space to Be Funny?
For a long time, i did try to be quite serious at or anybody that you tried to be like. And then when i did get columns, i tried to make them funny. When i stopped just trying to tell lots of jokes, weirdly, i ended up being able to say much more serious things. I know that sounds mad, and maybe you disagree with having read my writing, but i really feel that once i should have abandoned all that kind of ideafi'm writing a weighty essay or whatever.
