The red book is the magnum opus of young jung's work. He began to understand that what was happening him was not just a personal psychosis, but there was something precognitive happening. And so he took his scientific self to really begin deeply understanding what was happening in the deep unconscious. The relationship between the spirit of the times and thespirit of the depths um keeps us sane,. or at least helps us come back from insanity and pain.
