The Importance of Diversification in Nuclear Weapons
The world is stable and there are a number of states that have nuclear weapons that contribute to that stability. There's no relation at all between the position of nuclear weapons and being one of the p five, although obviously all the p five have nuclear weapons. And as long as the UK contributes to that sort of thinking, then I think it's important that there is a little bit of diversity in decision-making so we don't end up with a revisionist Russia or USEC.
