Command Post Exercises Aren't Getting Real-Time Feedback
In the Second World War commanders knew that they were responsible for what happened up, dare I say in there come and on their watch whatever. They thought about things in great detail, perhaps more importantly in great depth and they told their staff what it was that they wanted to achieve. But today we're not getting real-time feedback from our command post exercises as to which commanders can do it and which can't. How do we train staffs and commanders to be able to do that? It's basically just a failure.
