The two most critical areas of focus, for any leader, is a growing sense of self awareness and a commitment to self leadership. The more you know yourself the better you are able to lead others. When a leader is not well there will undoubtedly be a ripple effect to everyone under their care and influence. Therefore, we must lead ourselves well so that we can lead others better.
In this week's episode, Jenni interviews 4Sight Coach and Executive Director Genea Browne. Genea is devoted to leadership and personal development with over 20 years of both ministry and marketplace experience. She is most passionate about and highly accomplished throughout her career at guiding individuals and organizations to achieve alignment, growth, and excellence. She specializes in organizational development and building a healthy culture. She has written and delivered leadership training and workshops on these practices to many churches and non-profit organizations.
Today, Genea will give us “4 Areas of Awareness” that are important when it comes to leading self, others and making decisions as a team. We have to be able to both recognize and appreciate that every person on our team has a unique self concept they bring to the table, and if we are not able to recognize the fact that people filter through their own awareness and self concept we will never be able to fully appreciate the differences within our teams.
