How Do I Know if I'm Selling a Franchise?

Ursa: Sometimes people underestimate the resources required to do franchising. You've got to not only know your business in your sleep, you need to know the franchisee's business well enough so that if there's an issue, you're able to pinpoint and help the franchisee. So I like to use the three M's just so people remember them. Money, market, marketing plan. If it's got those three legs, it's going to be a franchise. It doesn't matter what you call the arrangement. But most clients think that they can just call it a license and they're okay.
