How Much Protein Do You Need to Increase Muscle Gain?

The RDA is great for what it is, you know, the minimum amount of protein needed to prevent malnutrition in most people. However, when we start to look at large or the best, we don't really have large skill studies on protein for performance. We do have meta-analyses, which are kind of the ad hoc solution to any area of study where we have underpowered research. So right around 1.5 or 1.6 grams per kilogram, which roughly converged about 0.7 grams per pound. And there's a considerable amount of uncertainty around that value, depending upon the statistical paradigm.
