The History of Edward III
Edward II was deposed in 1327 and imprisoned. He is the one who people say was killed by having a red hot poker shoved in his rectum. This is extremely unlikely to have been what happened to him, he probably starved to death. Edward III ruled from 1327 to 1377 - a very successful rule in medieval terms. Was uncomfortable with the way he came to the throne but also much better at kingship than his dad was. The founder of the Order of the Garter which is still one of the elite orders in England.
