Is There a Way to Improve Your Deck?

I think this often it comes to like autopilot type of stuff. You'll play too many ramp spells that look for basic lands and your deck just does not have enough or you're doing nature's lore to find a forest, but turns out you actually don't have enough forests. I absolutely did this with my Kumayna deck. It's blue, green, merfolk. Of course the deck is predominantly blue, but I just put in like, add, Simic mana base. Here we go.
