The Importance of Simulation Based Training in Healthcare

There's reason to think there's good support for this. In anesthesia specifically, a study published in the British Journal of Anesthesia showed that simulation based training was effective compared to no intervention. There is a case report and we've sort of heard multiple anecdotes, but again, this is difficult to publish. We want to be able to demonstrate that this time consuming, expensive investment in education will benefit our patients down the road.
