Is There a Chance That the Federal Government Will Revisit Scientology?
Matt Welch: Do you think there's ever a chance that given all of the alleged abuses that have been uncovered by you and others, that the federal government will ever revisit this? Welch: Scientology is the only quote unquote religion that has department dedicated to destroying its enemies. Not to mention the fact that they are keeping people quasi captive and throwing people in a hole. He says he believes eventually it will become politically expedient for some member of Congress or a senator somewhere to take this on as an issue.
