The Importance of Religion in Fantasy

Mormons believe that free agency and choice is very, very important. I think if you look at my novels and both of the long interests in Mistborn, religion plays a big part in the bad guys' plots. And so, it's not that I'm trying to present religion in poor light. It's that I think that religion can be used for the wrong reasons. That kind of influences how I approach these things. One of the great things in fantasy that creating a religion gives your world a solid grounding.
