John James Beezer's Memoir
This is John James Beezer, who I briefly mentioned earlier in his Oliver Twistian moment. He will go through many stages of his life as an erin boy, as a cobbler, he goes to a Sunday school. And this, of course, is why we have his memoir. People might have a religious conversion. They might turn to politics and feel it's worthwhile leaving their story. But you don't know anything about the life of this individual boy. This photograph was not only taken in a studio, not on the street. It was taken in Wolverhampton, not in London,. Which is sort of what I love about the sense to which these were set up
