Psychosocial Hazards in the Workplace

First responders have the same problems as most people in terms of psychosocial hazards and color. Many of them are working in paramilitary organizations. There's a high hierarchy, a degree of hierarchy where you have to follow the chain of command. Workplaces have a really important role in developing awareness on health issues. They've been successful in promoting people's understanding of what some mental health conditions might look like. And really importantly, they're good at normalizing the idea that it's okay to get help.
