It was able to weave together class and ethnic demands, class cultural grievances and economic grievances in a way that was just a very kind of holistic understanding of what the nature of oppression of indigenous peoples was. It had multiple facets. articulating that explicitly is a form of political power,. so that lent it its strength. And there is nothing that makes a movement, or, for that matter, political party, stronger than deep territorialization.
