What Do You Know About the Colossus of Rose?

The Colossus of Rose took 12 years to construct, according to Pliny the Elder. The name of the sculptor who created it is unknown but he was a pupil of Lysippus. A statue of Zeus put up in Terentum, a significant city in South Italy, is 114 feet tall. There has also been an element of competition here, a bigger statue than Lysippus' statue built by his pupil.
